120?!?!?!

Well, I had auditions for my younger children's play on Thurs. and Fri. ((Yes, I know, I wasn't even done with the other one. That's just the way the scheduling works out. And I'm a glutten for punishment! )) The first day I had 60 kids audition, and I thought, "Wow, this is going to be a big play". But I hoped that most of them had already come and I would top at 80 or so. Well, Fri. came and once again I had a room full of kids, and they kept coming and coming. Four year olds, 10 year olds and all in between. Some that could sing, some that tried really hard, some that were just plain scard, but did it anyway. Well, I didn't top at 80 or so, when I did my final count on Friday night I had 120 kids. WOW!! That is the biggest cast I have ever had. I'm really going to have to be on top of things. Got to get my songs learned and be ready to face the mobs tomorrow. YIKES!! But yet, what fun to have kids walk in to audition that have done it before and to see the waves and Hi, Penny!! To see their excitment. That's why I do it. It's addicting. Like I told my last group, I have the privilige of working with the best kids in the valley. So, here I go ready or not.

Thank goodness this version also has Quadlings, which are basically munchkins on the other side of Oz. Plus we have the emerald city people, crows, flying monkeys, and a group of forest animals. So, it is all working out. But yeah, it's a lot of kids.
