A well spent 45 minutes
It's Monday morning - the computer gets turned on first thing, outlook express opened up and the sound turned up so I can hear when any mail comes in. I do my chores on this side of the house so I can look at the computer screen every 10 minutes or so to see - did it come yet?? Not yet, check again - is it here?? My heart skips a beat when I finally see that little e-mail. Who could it be from that would be so exciting? The email is from my missionary. As I quickly open it up, scan it, and jot back a quick "Good morning!! How is life with you?" Then we begin our 45 minutes of e-mailing back and forth. What a wonderful thing it is. As I read his e-mail full of information, comment on a few things, then sit and wait for the next message to come, I love every minute. I am able to feel like I can at least connect with him in a small way. As he tells me his concerns, his ideas, his thoughts, and shares the experiences he is having I am able to sit here at this computer and feel like at least for 45 minutes he isn't half way across the U.S. What a wonderful thing e-mail is, and that 45 minutes of sitting here is definitely worth every second.

How neat that is, to get to email with him! Does he write lots of letters? Do you write him lots of letters? I know I wrote Andrew often while he was on his mission, and seldom now.
He e-mails once a week, and then writes a good long letter usually once a week. He is getting busier now, so it has slowed down a little. But he also sends little video clips from his digital camera, which we watch over and over. I write him lots of letters, makes me feel like I'm still in touch.
Email was too new and forbidden when da bear went on his mission. I wondered if I would have been better at keeping in touch with him.
