The Final Two Weeks

Girls camp was wonderful!! It was just the break that I needed. It was stressful and busy with lots of running around, but also lots of spiritual experiences. I am so grateful I was able to go. This week my boys are at Scout Camp, so it's just us girls and Dad. It's been fun. We were able to have a Girls day on Tuesday. Jazz had a follow up Dr. appointment in Phoenix, so we went to that and then went shopping and out to lunch. I've been working like crazy trying to get things ready to bring Jason home, as well as trying to get ready for the trip itself. Taking 5 kids on a week and a half road trip takes a lot of planning and preparation. We are taking our Travel Trailer, so that should be fun. We are packing it with everything we may need, and getting it all ready for the road. Cleaning out Jason's closet so that he can have it back was quite an adventure. Who would have known I had stored that much stuff in there, which now has to be stored somewhere else. It's definitely been a crazy month getting everything ready to go. We have had some blessings along the way, and I am so excited to see my son again. As I cleaned out his room yesterday and got things ready for him I realized how much I have missed him. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything, but I have missed having him here. I know that he won't be here for good now. He is coming home an adult and will be out on his own before I know it. But just being able to have him here for awhile will be wonderful, and we are so looking forward to enjoying his craziness here in our home for a while. Back to family life may be an experience for him. A long road trip with all of the kids will definitely break him back into family life real fast. Hopefully we'll all have fun.

It's amazing how going to girls camp where you get no sleep revives you. Glad you had a good time. Good luck with your trip.
