The Roller Coaster Starts Up the Hill

Here I am starting a blog. Why? I'm not sure except that it looks like fun. It's been really cool to read the blogs of other relatives, so here I am joining the ranks. Isn't life amazing. It's so full of ups and downs and sometimes just long straight runs going as fast as you can. And once any awhile those loops that seem to make you want to scream and run away. But you blink and hold your breath and it's all over. My children are all in school this morning. Twice a week I have an hour and half break while the youngest is in Preschool, and everyone else is in school. The quiet is nice. No one saying "Mom!!!". But yet, I wouldn't trade being a Mom for anything in the world. No matter how crazy it makes me. My oldest is in college this year, and is filling out papers to serve a mission where he will be gone for two years. He'll leave in less than 6 months. How crazy that seems. I remember walking him to Kindergarten on his first day. Yesterday his car was in the shop and I had to drive him to class, he jokingly said "It's like High School with my Mommy dropping me off". Time sure flys by. All we can do is hang on, scream when we need to, laugh all the time, and enjoy this roller coaster life.

Wow- it does seem so long ago that your oldest was a babe (can't believe he'll be going on his mission soon!) i still think of my sister as a baby- and here she is having her own baby, joining the ranks of moms.
your kids are awesome! i really wish we were able to spend more time with you all!
At least we can keep track of eachother via blogs, what a wonderful world we live in... sometimes technology is great, huh?!

Yes, technology is wonderful! And what a great way to stay in touch. Families are so important, and as I tell my children all the time. In the long run, families are all that matter.

If my life was compared to a roller coaster it would be the TOWER OF TERROR- ha ha ha!!!

I think Will has finally figured that one out. His family was NOT important, because well- his mom is psychotic and being in touch with her only causes bad feelings and problems. However as he makes his own family and we get closer to his brother and his family- Will has come to realize that family really does matter. They are the ones who are there for you, the ones you turn to when things go wrong.
I love our family- the WHOLE bunch of us.
Look at what Gramma started way back when!
