Girls Camp!?!
It's midnight. My suitcase is finally packed. I have a bag with a Dorothy, Tin man, and Scarecrow costume for our skit that I'm in charge of. I have a couple of bags full of costumes for "the ten virgins", for another thing we are doing. A list hanging on the bulletin board of chores and responsibilities while I'm gone. A fridge stocked with milk and tortillas (the staples in our home). Gas in my car, and some snacks for the trip. I guess I'm ready. It's off to bed to get some sleep before I have to rush around in the morning and get out the door. Off to girls camp to spend a couple of days hanging out with a bunch of girls ( young and old). It should be fun. Actually I love going, gives me a chance to build some friendships, relax away from all my home responsibilities, and have fun.

The last time I went to girl's camp was two years ago. I remember what a bad attitude I had the day before I left. I kept wondering why am I even doing this. Once I got up there, I totally enjoyed myself and did not want to come home when we got to Friday morning. I remember I drove 2 girls back the 3 hours from Bozeman to Red Lodge then turned around and came on home. As soon as I pulled into the driveway and turned off the key, my rear tire went flat immediately. At the repair shop, they told me I had been driving with that nail in the tire for a ways so I know that an angel was keeping his finger on that hole to keep the air from escaping until all were safely home. See you in 3 weeks - can you believe that?
