Mother's Day Funny

Okay, now that I have shared the serious side of Mother's Day in my last entry I have a funny to share. The other day my 5 year old and I were talking. She said that when she grows up she wants a mini-van (with the emphasis on mini, because she thinks they are named after her) to put all her kids in. (my friend has been looking at full sized vans for her crew of kids so we've been talking vans) Anyway, I asked her "how many kids do you want to have". She thought for a minute then said "how many seats are there". Then she went on, counting to herself (I don't think she know mini-vans are smaller, but . . .) "I think 15 kids". It was nice to know that despite my frustration on days, that my kids still think that being a Mom is the best there is. Because, despite everything, it is the best job there is. And I wouldn't trade for the world.

The year was 1991 and we were having a surprise 75th birthday party for Grandma at Polly's house. I had to pick up Aunt DeLoris at the airport and tif-do rode down with me to pick her up. I can remember Tif at that time telling me that she was going to have a whole bunch of children so she would always have a kid at home. Wow time has sure flown by since then. Hard to imagine.

It gets so old when you are raising kids and people tell you "they grow up so fast". Until the day when you realilze that they have grown up and it was only yesterday they were small. Those funny little things they say and do make it so great. When we cleaned out the shed we found the videos that had been put in with all the other tapes that had been boxed up and put away. The picture of Suzy standing in ice cold water with her hands in the air saying "it's feels good". JVA and our bear wrestling in the living room. leaner showing off classic dress styles at a young age. G'rat not wanting to show us his finger with the bee sting. I remember being there and wish somehow we could go back.

How great it is to be a mom, and how lucky your kids are to have found you!

Oh, I better mention dacheese singing away in a manger dressed in full christmas finery, standing behind a manger while the wise guys, Joseph, a shepherd and our dog dressed as a donkey stood around. (I think she was four). This was another treasure that we thought had been taped over and was gone forever.

Do you have my personal email? I don't have one for you. Anyway, the dr is Joganic. http://www.perfectyourself.com/search/surgeon.asp?sid=2179
He does work through CRS as well (its a great clinic, that we have been taking Rhayn to since she was a babe.)
I was curious if Jazz had a cleft lip, has she had any surgery on it? Would love to talk about it.

Here is a link for CRS, its worth contacting them. There are lots of resourses through CRS.
(I don't think my other link will work, LOL but this is a good one, you just have to make it into one long line of stuff, or do a google search for Children's Rehabilitative Services in Arizona. Good luck!)
