Small Blessings
It is so amazing the small blessings that come into our lives. Some that at times may look like a trial, but when looked at again we realize the blessing that is. Yesterday we were able to go to the temple to be with one of our nieces. It was a nice day. And thanks to Elise who at the last minute brought Grandma to visit, my big kids were able to stay home and visit with her for the day. They had a blast. I am so glad that they get those opportunities. So, thank you!!! We headed home last night, knowing that we should get home around 10:30. Around 10:30 we pulled into a town down the road from us and our car started sounding funny, like we were having a flat tire. So, we pull over and as we are pulling over the car stops moving. It was like the emergency brake had been put on. The car would go backwards, but not forward. Not much fun!! We were able to back it into the nearest church parking lot and call for help. Thank goodness for friends and family that are there to help - even at 11:00 at night. By around 2:30 this morning we were able to get our car home - it had lost a bolt that holds part of the brake in place. Needless to say, it needs some work now, but at least we got it home and it's nothing too big. The blessing came in the fact that we had gotten into town and had slowed down when it happened. And in the fact that I was supposed to drive it to Girls Camp tomorrow morning. In order to get to camp we have to drive on a pretty windy narrow road. I can't even imagine what could have happened if it would have happened on that road. I am so grateful for the small blessings in my life.

It's funny how what seems like such an inconvenience is really a blessing. I know we have this happen all the time and don't realize until later how "lucky" we were.
